It's a bittersweet day

Hey there Reader...

I'm sitting in my office, trying to hold onto a feeling for just a little bit longer.

I just completed the final coaching call with a long-time client. I've known her for decades. She joined my email list back when I was working exclusively with direct sellers. She was one of the first people to step into my Incubator when it launched back in the day. She "graduated" into a regular consulting client a few years ago. She and I have watched each other pivot, shift, and evolve so many times, that it's hard to think about NOT seeing her on my coaching calendar every month anymore.

We've known for a little while now that her final graduation was coming. There are tell-tale signs that show up with every client when it becomes clear to me that the end is near. And, still, it's always sad to release a relationship and let it become something new - even when it's better than what you once had.

I'm reminded that Marilyn Monroe once said that sometimes good things fall apart so that better things can fall together.

Yeah, THAT.

So I'm sitting here reliving the years of memories of us working together. The hard decisions, the joyful celebrations. The laughter, tears, and triumphs.

(Five more minutes, please!)

AND...

The person, the business owner, the whole human that she's become in the years since we started working together has been a masterclass in moving closer to your center and owning more of who you REALLY are and what REALLY matters to you.

At every turn. with every decision. in the face of the world burning down.

I stand in awe of the person I see today who is at once nothing like the person I met all those years ago, and yet EXACTLY the person she's always been inside.

I am overjoyed and grateful to have a front-row seat to witness all of that growth, determination, clarity, and success. I'm even more thrilled at what the future holds for her!

My sadness at "losing" a client is also the joy of gaining a friend and watching her head off into the sunset on her own terms.

(Fly little birdie! Fly!)

Also, a reminder that I'll be speaking about how to redesign your business when it no longer fits who you're becoming at the NeuroDivergent Business Summit that starts on Monday. My talk is on Day One, so you'll want to get registered now if you want to be sure to catch it!

Yes, that's my affiliate link. If you register and buy the VIP upgrade, I'll get a referral fee. But this is a free event for Neruospicy folks who are trying to build something that works for how you're wired to work. THAT is the reason I said yes. And the host, Angela, has put together some wonderful touches that make the event more accessible for every brain, including a decision tree to help you decide which talks you need and which ones you can skip (even if it's mine! No hard feelings, promise!)

Until next time,

- Lisa

P.S. I now have an opening in my calendar for a new client! If you're curious about working with me, let's talk and see if there's a fit!

Heya Reader! Walmart is rolling out digital shelf labels, and the public suspicion is already high: Are prices going to change in real time? Will shoppers be tracked? Is this efficiency… or manipulation? To be fair, Walmart has said this isn’t about surge pricing. But companies have a long history of saying one thing and doing another, so the mistrust isn’t coming out of nowhere. Once customers start asking, “Can I trust how this price got here?” you’re no longer just making an operations...

"There's no easy 'yes' here. They all have risk."That's what my brand strategist said to me as we were debating the different proposals submitted for my speaker reel project. There was no perfect offer. Each one had upsides and downsides. At one point, I kind of wanted to flip the tables and walk away."I'll just do it my own damn self," I thought to myself. It would be faster. It would probably cost a lot less. I'd have complete control of the project, and it would be "good enough." But then,...
